Excellent, that's exactly what i'm looking for! Oh hell, there's a harbor freight 5 minutes from school, i'll just go pick one up after class this week. I just need to find out what size hole i'll need, i can just ask the local pipe shop guy what the normal size is, i think it's 9mm.

Ya i plan on cutting the hole at an angle and then putting a grommet in to make a proper fit. Thanks for the tips loaded.

Make sure to use lots of room temp water while cutting... If possible use a cordless drill and run the water on the glass from the faucet while drilling.

Wasser... I am just going to point out one thing from your post and  I am going to let this go, this is just a subject that we could just keep shooting back and forth at each other. I have to say, you have to start to think out of the box.

Quote
Not really. Hypothetically, if china invaded the US...think of how much food would be required to feed a standing army. How easy would it be to ship in thousands of troops across an entire ocean? I'm pretty sure we'd notice them coming.

China was the wrong Army to use for this hypothetical invasion.

China, 2 MILLION man army (almost 2.5 mil with Reserve). The USA 1.5 mil active and 1.5 mil in reserve. Now remember our Military is all over the world, they aren't sitting here in the USA to fight off a 2 million man Chinese Army coming over on a boat. Yes I agree far from likely they could load 2 million on a boat and land here with out us doing something, but how much could we do? There is only one way we could ever fight off a full China invasion, they would have to be nuked simple as that, there is no way in hell we could stop them with conventional weapons, impossible, we are good but we aren't that good.

Ok so lets say 1/2 (1 mil) of that China army hits our shores, well lets face it our NEW President sure wouldn't turn that key for Nukes... So you say, there is no way to feed them (you above, "think of how much food would be required to feed a standing army") and fuel their equipment (I say). Yep you are correct it would take a God's amount of food to feed them and I am correct, a God's amount of fuel for the equipment. Ok, step back for this one because from your post above that I quoted it looks as if you are stuck in a "box"... This is the USA, not some desert over seas, there isn't one piece of Cost line that they would/could step on that they couldn't find a damn Wal-Mart for the food or a Exxon station for their fuel, in other words "WE" (the USA) have all they need to support their 1 mil man army, shit I would bet (no, I know we do) we would even have all the ammo for their carry weapons.

In closing of this topic (for me)... I am NOT saying it WILL happen, but people have to get out of this "we can never be touched" set of mind, that thinking is what will get us in trouble. Believe me I think the USA is "bad ass' straight up, but so did the people of The Roman Empire, Germany and Iraq (just to name a few) think they were "bad ass" as well.

You need something like this http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=32400 to drill a "hole" in glass. Problem is what you are trying to do is not a "round" hole, it would need to be egg shaped (oval)... So with that said, the link above (or something smaller in size then what is in that link) "should" get you what you are looking for... You would need to cut/drill the hole 1st, then slowly move the Diamond saw from 90 degrees to a 45 degrees toward the top to make that oval shape. Remember what ever you use "must" have the Diamond not just on the end of the saw, but also on the sides of the saw for it to cut that oval, as you can see in that link above that bit dose have diamond on the sides as well. That is the best I can do for ya.

EDIT... here is a smaller set http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=32399

Opps I see now you are going to use a grommet, then a round hole should work, BUT I think you are going to have a problem with the "bowl" staying at that 45* tilt.

See, that is the biggest problem with 99% of the people of this great country of ours... "No one would ever have the nerve to attack us". Because of that mine set, it would be so easy to do so, I am not saying they would take us over, luckily there is a good number of "crazy White people" with guns (including myself) that would lock and load.

9-11... It wasn't a country, but in my eyes it was Pearl Harbor all over again... FYI, more people died on 9-11 then at Pearl Harbor, about 2200 at Pearl (it goes without saying the 100,000s that died in WWII because of that attack) and 3,000 "on" 9-11, BUT keep counting and adding to that number everyday someone dies over Afghanistan.

99% of you PLEASE do the other 1% a favor and NEVER become any type of leader of this country of ours, at least until you get your head out of your ASS.  ::)

Help / Re: Car Help

hmm i say wheel bearing?to find out jack your car up and see if u have play in the wheel by pulling it a round.if it is just nip it up and if u dont your wheel can fly of with ya hubb.
no2 start your car and then sqirt some lube oil on the fann belt if the nosie gos theres your problem.if not it could be your cam belt tenisoner if it is could make your belt snap then your car is scrap.so get that checked.
and if u fit new brake pads put some copper grease on when u do. ;D

Oil on belt... That is a BIG NO NO. Putting oil on any type of rubber belt will degrade the belt to the point of failure. IF you wish to test a belt for noise, just use plan water or "maybe" water with a very small amount of dish soap. Again I am 99% sure it is alternator load and in turn means slipping belt because of the other reasons I posted above.

Bearing... Unlikely, front where drive car... Bearing is self contained and is "pressed" into the steering knuckle and rarely ever goes bad... I guess anything is possible.

Copper grease (Anti-Seize Compound)... And where do you want him to put this? Right on the pad? Well of course not, but you didn't say where. I have to assume you would want him to put the copper on the caliper slides or mounting pins, NEVER anywhere near the pads... In any case, not really needed this day and age, frozen slider pins/stuck calipers are somewhat a thing of the past because of the materiel that is used now a days, but it wouldn't hurt if the copper (Anti-Seize Compound) is used correctly and put in the right place.

IF anyone has told you to put Anti-Seize on the "back" of the break pad to stop Vibration Squeal and they have done it to their car, I would stay out of the car, because sooner or later when that Anti-Seize melts and drips on the rotor (very possible), they will lose their stopping power.

Ok, Auto mechanics 101 is now dismissed.

Uhh..I don't know why you would want the entire scoreboard, but ok..I guess I can start doing that..I just figured you'd want the top three. xD

Because your scores are pointless if you have only 4 other people on the server.

If I kill Cheero 2x in a row, spawns, sits there, translates "are you targeting me Loaded".

LOL can't use a different name on that server I swear they have everyone's IP and key hash written down and check everyone. I even have used other keys hashes and they still know it is me. Just try it, get a good score going and I bet they will say who you really are in minutes.

Help / Re: Car Help
« on: November 07, 2008, 04:24:17 AM »
Real easy, take my words on what I say.

1... The noise you are hearing on start up is your serpentine belt (as what was said) or the single belt (because I am not sure of your setup). Why the noise? The noise is being made because your alternator is on high load trying to recharge your battery after start up. The noise goes away after awhile because the alternator has done its job to charge the battery so now it is relaxed ("max" load is gone). Fix, possible a new belt, but more then likely you need a new belt tensioner and it goes without saying to replace the belt as well.

could look something like below (again not sure of your model).

Now if your car as a single belt to the alternator, then it can be a simple belt tightening that is all that is needed to stop this noise.

2... Brakes. Yes there is  (or I should say "more then likely", but most do have them) a warning tab (as what Hellraiser was saying) on the brake pad to warn you that your brakes are low. When this warning tab is hitting the rotor "all the time" it will make a noise when the brakes are on or off.

Fix, replace your brakes as soon as possible.

EDIT... I wanted to show some photos of the brake pads, but needed to get the little one off to school.

This 1st pic shows the low brake warning tab and the 2nd shows a brake that is worn down to nothing (also would mean new rotors are more then likely needed because resurfacing them is unlikely after going this low).
