Considering theres remains of humans from over 160,000 years ago,  The only true historic and scientific part of the "bible" is the new testament but theres still no scientific proof that there was or will be a jesus.

Also if "god" made the world in the short amount of time "he" did, then why even make another planet? 

In my opinion we were all microscopic organisms, and we just developed from a single celled organism over a long period of time.

Every scientific theory, proposed as possible, is reconcilable with some facts. Otherwise, it would not have been considered for a moment.

Truely there is a god. He makes everything happen for a reason. Even when bad stuff happens to you, he makes you open your eyes, figure out what went wrong and why, and how you can avoid it again in the future. The only thing we dont have control over is who lives and who dies.

For many, believing in god makes life a little more bearable even if there is no way there is life after death.I personally believe in god seeing as if i didn't i would be crazy on a street corner or dead. When many are in rough times believing in a higher being can help to get them through it.

  That is why I wrote this:

    They have to feel that there is something after you die, so that all the good they do doesn't go unappreciated.  They don't do it just to be good.  Well, some people.  Plus, people use the thought of God as motivation to get through the hard times, instead of doing it themselves. 

Don't get me wrong, I never once have told anyone to not beleive.  I am just trying to get across why I don't.

  So then all the people who's lives are just total shit, live in the street, no food, no house, just the clothes on their backs, what is up with them?  God apparently hasn't come to them and shown them what they did wrong.  How about all the Veterans who have fought for their country and are now homeless, because of the flashbacks and terriable shit they had to see to help others, who sit on their asses at home, and do nothing but complain about the wars.  What did they do wrong.  FUCKING NOTHING.  They fought for their country, did what they were asked, and now they have fucking mental problems, because of the shit they had to endure.  You tell me their is a god, then why won't he help the people who have done nothing wrong, but yet are haunted in their minds.  Why doesn't help clean their minds, so they don't have to have the thoughts they do.  Seeing all the death and destruction, and now, becuase they of what they seen, can't hold a job, so they lose their houses, their wives, their children.  TELL ME WHERE YOUR ALL FORGIVING GOD WITH THESE MEN AND WOMEN.  What is he to busy with the other people who go to church and are complaining about the war, and the "good christians", who can do no wrong?  Come on.  Like I said,  the thought of God is just motivation to help people do right, and think there is a reward in the after life.  Me I know when i die, I am dead.  Nothing more and nothing less.  I will be but a memory.  And to me, that is what your soul is.  Your soul is what you leave behind, the good or the bad thoughts or memories people have of you.  Heaven is when people just remember the good points about you, because that is how you were, either all the time, or most of the time.  Hell is when people remember you as being a prick, and a loser, and they want to forget about you as soon as possiable.   

Some people make bad decisions. If they dont want to work and make bad habits there's going to be consequences. If people are not financially stable and decide to have kids anyway then it will ruin their lives too. The greatest goal to overcome is depression. For the U.S. to earn its freedom and stay at peace we have to go to war. Soldiers should have the right state of mind and be mentally tough to fight. War veterans by far have the most respect from me and our country. I and most of us have not fought in a true war and have little idea what it would be like. The war in Iraq is nothing compared to previous wars where we had 4,000 people dying in weeks and not in 4 years. God cannot control people's bodies or minds, he gave you a brain to make decisions for yourself. He is a tester of the mind and like i said above makes everything happen for a reason.

  And you are right about the death tolls.  I wasn't saying about this about just the Iraq war, I was talking about war in particular.  We still have Veitnam vets out there on the streets.  I understand the whole freedom thing.  You don't have to tell me.  There are people in America that have depression becuase a fucking family pet dies, not once have they seen war.  Try having a buddy die in your arms.  Or having a buddy of you screaming for help, because the Hummvee he is in, is burning from a fucking IED.  The truck got flipped over so he can't get out of the turret hole, and the frame is fucked up so the doors are all stuck shut.  Don't talk to me about depression.  You have no idea the demons I have in my mind.  Bone does, and he has expressed some of them.  I am sure there is alot he hasn't and won't tell us, becuase telling them is like living them all over again.  I am the type of guy who likes to joke around and bust peoples balls and that helps me through them.  Many of night have I sat up and can't sleep because as soon as my eyes close I see those things all over again.  You can be the toughest minded person in the world, but see some of the shit that some people have seen.  There are alot of soldiers out there that have seen things 1000 times harsher than I.  But anyway, this isn't a topic about that.  So what does having a strong mind get you after you die, since he is a tester of minds?  Shouldn't he be a tester of morals, courage and a person's geuinness?  I mean, does having a strong mind get you a better spot in heaven?  Oh and shouldn't the greatest goal to achieve be something that person wants.  What if they aren't depressed, then they have no great goal to acheive?  Where did you even come up with that line?  Just wondering.

Good question, Im not a preacher of god just a follower. I was just giving my opinion about god and what i go by. Try asking those questions to someone who actually knows what the hell they are talking about.

Well I kinda believe in something but it always seemed a bit presumtuous and slightly arrogant to me to assume you'll actually gain favors with some all powerful entity who created "everything" by kissing his ass your whole life. I ghess you gain some kind of self importance, smugness and confidence thinking your pally with god which is a bit like snorting coke I ghess or being friends with the school bully. To me its simple, while your praying and whatnot, your not killing people which is a good thing and the more time you spend praying your even less likely to be doing bad shit.

I used to believe in Santa and to be honest it was great, mind you he used to give me stuff LOL. No seriously its good to have beliefs it distracts you from the fact that in the scale of things your simply a piece of bateria on a piece of sand floating in sheer nothingness which kinda sucks. If I could convince myself I was heading for some cloud filled dream land called Heaven with pretty angels and stuff I'd go for it but I've tried and can't.
