umm yeah i have this lag problem... every server/game/non server based game i get this special lag, no not like upp a skipped frame rate lag its a glitchy movement lag, the type that when you move left you'll be where you want for a second than it puts your ass back where you were initially started at any way to fix this, i even tried putting the graphics as low as possible. but it doesn't work.

windows xp, nvidia geforce 5600, 512 memory (probably doing it), 1.2 ghz processor, thats all i have.

all is good but You can't play battlefield with only 512 memory , u need 1 Go for run it , It's here the problem. :]

Sure the game will load faster but 1942 only requires 128 mb of ram, 500mhz processor speed, 2,8gb free space on HDD, cd or dvd drive 4 speed, 32 mb video card.

Try turning of programs you are running in the background, or use CC cleaner.

Switching off sound will reduce lag. Make sure you do it in Game options and not on your speakers.

OMG! i actually lol'd at the penis joke. and turning off the sound didn't fix it.

Buying a new computer will usually fix all problems. Try that.

I once had an FX 5700 about a billion years ago, probably before you were born.

It played BF42 just fine with just about the same specs you currently have.

Re-install the game, if that doesn't do it... Format, Format Hard and Fast. Make C: your bitch.

Your Flux capaciter is probably slow because of the newtron accelerator dynamo. I had the same problem a while back when I was running windows 98master edition. If you take off the outer casing carefully and submerge the hardrive unit in hot water in a bathtub for about an hour then dry off with a hairdryer all lagg will be gone I guarantee it and the circuits will be as clean as off the shelf.
